Xine on Fedora Core 2
i am new to linux and im trying to get xine working
i unpacked and follwed the standard "./configue, make, make all install" instructions for both of the .tar.gz files i downloaded from the Xine website.
theses are the file names:
xine-lib-1-rc4a.tar.gz
xine-ui-0.99.1.tar.gz
i was sure to add that line to that one file and i also entered the
"export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" command
just to be sure.
i thought everything went fine so i went to the command line and type "xine" and pressed enter.
it successfully opened and i saw the skins show up.
think that it was ok i closed the command terminal and then xine closed too.(im not sure if i need to keep the command line open)
so i went into the terminl again and typed "xine" and pressed enter like before but this time it does not open xine and displays the following message:
xine: error while loading shared libraries: libxine.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
im stumped and im not sure what to do to fix this...
---please help
thanks in advance
