alright heres the deal, I was talking to one of the higher level guys in my company and he told me that if i were to become very familiar with unix that I would have a very good chance of getting a $22.00/hr raise and a promotion. So naturally I said ok Im going to lean unix/linix. My question is where should I start. What books should I read to learn the basics of both platforms and where should I look to for more of the advanced stuff. My company has alot of the software and I have access to it all since I am learning it for them. any help is greatly apprecieated.
