Goodday!
OS: Redhat9
I am having problem compiling nessus!
[root@localhost nessus]# cd /root/tools
[root@localhost tools]# chmod 777 nessus-installer.sh
[root@localhost tools]# ./nessus-installer.sh
Press ENTER to continue
x - creating lock directory
x - extracting nessus.tar.gz (binary)
./nessus-installer.sh: line 475: uudecode: command not found
restore of nessus.tar.gz failed
nessus.tar.gz: MD5 check failed
x - now extracting this archive
./nessus-installer.sh: line 68888: nessus.tar.gz: No such file or directory
tar: nessus.tar: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
rm: cannot lstat `nessus.tar': No such file or directory
rm: cannot lstat `nessus.tar.gz': No such file or directory
*** Something went wrong - we could not uncompress the archives
*** properly
[root@localhost tools]#
I thought my CD version was too old, so i downloaded a updated version form www.nessus.org
[root@localhost nessus]# ./nessus-installer.sh
The script needs uudecode(1) to run properly
Install the package 'sharutils-*.rpm'
[root@localhost nessus]#
Please show me the easier way of instaling nessus .
Thankyou
