I seen an interesting Moment for Tips on Unerror.net that was submitted by someone.

Design Scannable Newsletters
Topic: Marketing Tips
According to recent study by usability expert, Jakob Nielsen, about 50 percent of readers skimmed or partly read the newsletters. Only 23 percent of readers read the newsletters all the way through. The remaining 27 percent were never opened.
Those are pretty funny numbers. If only 23% of users are fully reading the newsletters, then alot of people are missing inportant information about your web site or products. You would need to get the needed information to pop out at the people. If 50% are skimming through, the needed information should pop out, or the newsletter should keep the reader interested, so they will ready and not skim.

Just some thoughts. Been awhile since I've posted.
