I downloaded my copy via the Technet site.. this way I could Auto resume the D/L.. This I would recopmmend especially if your on Dial up..

Also.. Have you used the Holy Trinity?
Spybot S&D, Adaware se, Online AV Scann and HJT? (yeh I know its four ..)
