Msinfo32 display mostly unknow values
About a year ago I bought a new PC (Asus P4PE motherboard and Windows 2000 Professional). Almost from the start the program msinfo32 produces a lot of 'unknown' values (e.g. in the section 'Summary' it apparently can't find the correct values for 'OS Name', 'Processor', 'Time Zone', etc.). I can't remember if it has ever produced meaningful values.
Anyway, what can be the cause of this, and how can I fix it? I already looked in the MS knowledge base, and checked if some services that are mentioned in this article (http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;323209) are running (Remote Procedure Call, Windows Management Instrumentation, Event Log). Is there a way to find out if a corruption in the registry is causing this?
Thanks.
