A lot of the argintinian airforce were of american manufacture. the Us were also selling weapons to the enemy just before the hostilities started and like France they stop selling when they started. As for arm sales to Iraq How much was sold by the US and UK while Saddam was their friend. The point I was hoping to make is that the UN will always be hamstrung as long as one of the 5 permanent members can veto any thing it tries to do.
