the electoral college ensures that the majority of the states don't get governed simply on the grounds of a few states having a higher population than others.
I REALLY want to see you argument behind this.. Since the electoral votes are BASED on population...
We need to really get rid of the electoral college and have the elections done by popular vote only... I cannot see any bad coming out of this other than the fact the candidates in a two party system get screwed over on knowing exactly where to campaign, because it wouldn't matter. ALL the votes in a state would count, not just the ones for a certain candidate... When a state goes for a candidate electorally, all the votes for the other candidate are voided... What a bunch of BS...
