Employer Can Force Women to Wear Makeup
source here
In an opinion likely to raise the ire of civil rights and feminist groups, a divided 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel ruled Tuesday that a woman who was fired from her job as a casino bartender for refusing to wear makeup cannot sue for sex discrimination.
I actually had to check the date on this story.. I can't believe this is actually happening here in the US in this day and age! How disgraceful! Men are merely required to present themselves as neat and clean (in this instance) yet women must present themselves with hair styled in a certain manner and makeup on.
The court ruled that this does not create an unequal burden on the women. Must have been a court of men.
