Linux Security
I've just installed Fedora Core 3 onto a machine, which is connected with broadband to the internet.
I'm concerned about security, because I thought the general concensus was that a Linux OS 'can' be made more secure than a Windows OS. However i'm new to any OS other than Windows, and my ignorance with this new OS is worrying me.
I've got a firewall called Firestarter, but can't seem to download Hijackthis, so it will work on Linux.
I'd appreciate any links on software to get now, and any links to things I could read to improve my understanding and increase my knowledge.
I'm just starting a CompTIA certificate, and I thought gaining an understanding of OS's additional to Windows was something I needed to do; as this is a current weakness of mine. Any help or advice you could offer would be much appreciated.
Here's to removing ignorance...
Many Thanks,
