I would recommend a product called Diskeeper, because I notice that the defragmenter that comes with windows doesn’t seem to do as good of a job.
That is what ships with Windows XP and, AFAIK Win2000. You must be thinking of Win9x? The Win ME version is the best of Microsoft's efforts; in fact it was a pretty standard tweak to replace the Win98 version with the one from ME
