Full Story: http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,...,00.html?tnewsGLAAD says a negative review of the movie Brokeback Mountain by the Today show's movie critic, Gene Shalit, amounts to anti-gay prejudice, according to E Online.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation says Shalit's reference to one character in the movie as a "sexual predator" who "tracks Ennis down and coaxes him into sporadic trysts" amounts to gay-bashing.
GLAAD is demanding an apology from NBC for promoting "defamatory anti-gay prejudice to a national audience."
The way I see it, the hollywood actors guild has an even bigger issue with which film to choose as the "premiere film" for the 2005 Golden Globe Awards. They have to throw thier support behind one of the following:
1. Brokeback Mountain - Long suffering homosexual cowboys.
2. Memoirs of a Geisha - Long suffering male dominated prostitutes.
3. Munich - Long suffering religiously oppressed terrorists.
Tough, tough, tough, tough choice for the our Liberal biased film industry eh?
