nobody really answered my questions

i know lophtcrack and the rainbowtables .... those all are very easily to crack....but what if the passwords are stored on some other computer...passwords used to logon to networks not computers

the whole point is to crack MS Cache (or mscash) not NT/LM hash

it is very difficult to break a 7 or 8 length passwords...the only 7-8 length passwords i could crack was either only letters or numbers (btw numbers from 1-8 takes arpund 3min on my machine)

i figured out the charset problem bymyself and the 2millc/s i have also figured

now...i can make my own custom sets with words like admin0123456789 which is better than johns alpha

the only problem is the password length the john i have 1.6.37.....has a limit of 8 set by the compiler....i not really a good at compiling (i dont have one either) and i dont have a linux box

so some1 PLZ get me john 1.7.0 (or the latest) WITH the mscash plugin and password length sto to 10 or 12 (i know it will take years for 36 chracters but as i said i have custom charset now)
