I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon too...but only to a certain extent. Flaming can be a good thing. It's entertaining. And if someone truly is an idiot they need to know it. Can you imagine people asking "how do you hack hotmail" and NOT getting flamed? That would just be wrong.
So I guess what I'm trying to say. Flames where people are just called gay or other names are stupid. Ones where the flamer truly has superior technical knowledge is good.
I remember one thread with Negative and Paul Zest. Both are smart, and I remember Darwin and other technical books being quoted a lot and the flames were readable, spelled right, and grammatically correct. They didn't insult each other, just each other's knowledge.
hmmmmm how about posting a link to this legendary discourse?

Flames
Great post Vorlin. I'll back you up 110% on that. Honestly folks...we've got to shapen up and do something about this place...maybe not how it origionally was supposed to be:
Click here to go back in time! Hope you want to keep the new design, though
But stop with the senseless flaming. On a knowledgable basis it's fine, I think, ...but this endless rambling of just bullshit is getting to everyone...and making this place a lot less likely to succeed in it's number one goal: Computer Knowledge
...This Space For Rent.

[WebCarnage] is absolutely correct-i salut u-if thats anything to be happy about......anyway what i want to say is we have to make the leap to make AO what it should be...otherwise who else is going to?.....the faries.....
"the only reason faries are 'mythical' is because we need something to aspire to-because who wants to be crucified like jesus?no one-they want to fly..."
(just something someone told me
once-i find it amusing)

Perhaps one of the greatest threads at AO ever, I got flamed by Zest, tried to flame him then Negative came in and I seen somereat minds go at it in a respectful manner which made for good reading, it wasnt pointless flaming like f... you, no ignorance just a good debate.

I actually just read the Negative vs. Zest a few days ago for the first time while researching something or other.

LOL
The thread behind the link is another good representation of Negative style. (I think this time Belgium rules)
