    Hi

    All you have to do is go in Windows Dos mode and run this command when connected to your ISP

    IPCONFIG -ALL|MORE

    And note all the neccssary informations for future use, and do write back if it works.

    Hi

    Just forgot to write this that once you get the DNS write it on your Resolv.conf file in etc directory.And there you go

    Hey,
    I am online, the problem with me not being able to ping and visit websites is because my firewall was configured too tightly. I did a "vi /etc/sysconfig/ipchains" and changed it to accept, viola!

    Next thing to do is read up on security. Anyone that reads this could you please post some links on linux security.
