They must be doing something right to be selling so much of their products... Just something to think about outside the "MS Sucks" train of thought.
One word...marketing. Well, another phrase...easy to use. Make a graphical interface where people can point-and-click without ever having to know what goes on and you've got 90% of the population that uses computers snowed over. With no mention to stability of your OS, efficiency, or anything else that stand out in good products or are considered "mainstay requirements", this just means that they have to flood the market with.
We the willing, led by the unknowing, have been doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much with so little for so long that we are now qualified to do just about anything with almost nothing.

Hello all: In my posts to the newbie section I had a problem with a Wscript.KaKworm infection via outlook. Here is a link for turning of the scripting in outlook.
[URL]support.microsoft.comURL]
Also it is listed as Q192846. I hope that is of some help to you all.

No cost? so Solaris and SCO are free to use?
Not for corporate use. Unix costs a lot of money as well, but it's worth it.

I believe the problem is a double edged sword on one end is an operating system that is so easy to use in comparison to linux and unix , on the other end are more security holes than a piece of swiss cheese after a blast of buckshot , top that off with people who can script vb and a malware kit and i see a whole lot of home pcs and iis servers taking long naps .

Maybe not Solaris and SCO, but FreeBSD. Also there are a lot of free distros of linux out there. However just because the product is free doesnt mean it is good.

I am sorry... Use of incorrect grammar made my statment seem wrong. I meant that Linux was free, not Unix and Solaris ect...
