I think that doing that would not be a good idea. There is really no need to have anyone else involved in the making of the website.

good idea, but prolly jsut too much right now. No one really has any major complaints, and things get fixed when they get strange, so why go threw all the extra trouble.

JP does a good job, he's very responsive to comments such as my suggestion for an FAQ and gives reasons for rejecting ideas too. It might make life easier for him if he allowed senior members to moderate, edit etc. but we're talking about complete strangers here who can't be held to account if something goes wrong.

Jp responds well to his user community. Why don't you pm him if you feel it is viable?

The idea was to allow the site to grow faster, not to take the controles away from JP, he's doing a great job and has created a site worthy of paise, but as more and more people start to join, posts will get crowded, and eventualy (if we'r lucky) this site will become one of the world's larges and most used web sites. We have all these exsperts and geniuses siting at home, loging in, posting, why not start of a few group projects, combine our efforts, we could make almost anything with the combined resources we have...
If this was to b done, then JP would be the ultimat leaded...(No d'uh) and every thing would have to go through him, although this seems radical, It would eventualy have to be JP's desision who sould be alowed to change things and write code for the site.....
We'r wasting so mutch, althoug the site is already above amazing, it is not near what it could b, there are alot of small details and things that users would like to get changed, the trick is to stay one step ahead, unlike M$ who's alway a mile behind....
pwaring: Yes, he's doing an amazing job, but the site will grow out of hand, even for him...
SarinMage & uraloony: It's ok now, but will it stay like that for ever?

I like it just fine the way it is. You can add more functions, bells, and wistles sure. In the end that just means more bugs and loop holes to jump through. Right now it's unclutered with a touch of wow.
Resistance is futile, prepare to be assimilated.
