I have become exceptionally glad that there are other countries which aren't in the pockets of the US. I mean, think of the SSSCA, then think of foreign manufacturers of non-cripple/spyware hardware... To think they'd comply is laughable, what government REALLY wants us govt/industry-controlled hardware to be running for them?As for this... Well, it really depends on what kind of precedents for 'reasonable evidence' arrive. It could go badly, but only time will tell. Making a racket of having bad credit or denied accounts in a bank due to un-releasable government suspicions will certainly hit a chord in the US marketplace if it becomes common.
