das boot was a too realistic movie. Nazism under other names existed (and still does) for thousands of years before Hitler and his crew got a hold of it. German people were the ones in WW2 that fell under its lure but what about the Japanese under their "divine destiny" urged upon them by the ruling military? Need I mention Il Duce and the blackshirts? Or what about Franco of Spain and Ante Pavelic? My point is there were many fooled by dictators in the past and probably will be in the future.
It must be them again. Start the response cycle.

Maybe where this is going then, is that at some point in history one ppl has enslaved or hurt another ppl without any justification and that maybe no one group is perfect or totally innocent.

But think about WW2: If there had been no intervation, what would've happen. I dislike war and violence (or at least try to), but it seems to be necessary sometimes. Is there a way around that, or is that the way it has to be?

war never has to be... there are always ways around it.... they may not always be clear, but they do exist. it's not that war in the answer, it is just that it is the most convenient at times
