W-T-F-.......what happened to not showing ppl how to hack here
ummmm i don't think anyone actually gave any info about how to actually use a brute force attack on someones password.....most peps just described what the attack actually is/does
And in order to protect against an atrack you need to know what it is/how it works first
so we wern't showing anyone how to hack

crimina1> It would make more sence to teach selena how to search the internet. When someone requests you email them something like this, I can pretty much guarantee that they are up to no good. In other words.....script kiddie.

Wow,
You all need to just chill out, especially johndoe. Selena just asked a simple question, and didn't mention on it was going to be used. You're just assuming that he/she is breaking into a hot mail account. Uh, is that becuase everyone of you has probably done that at least once? I agree with criminal, you can't defend unless you know how to break in. Selena could do a search on the internet, but to his/her mistake they decided to post here. You just decided to jump down thier throat. Now, go to any other hacker site and that information is easily acessable. Along with a whole **** load of other nasty stuff to do to a computer. Stay with this site, and you actually learn about security. But with a bunch of people being such *******s, I wouldn't blame Selena if he/she never came here again.
Selena, I hope you don't let this discourage you. There are really some nice helpful folks on this site, and a lot you can learn. Souleman is usually one of them. Perhaps the rest of you need to get off your high horses and not look down at every newbie that comes to this site looking for references or help.

Kitara> Just a couple things about your post:
Selena just asked a simple question, and didn't mention on it was going to be used.
In the security field, it is called password auditing. Brute force is a cracking term.
You're just assuming that he/she is breaking into a hot mail account. Uh, is that becuase everyone of you has probably done that at least once?
Umm, nope. I have NEVER broken into any email accounts. I am not a cracker....
Now, go to any other hacker site
This is NOT a hacker site. This is an anti-hacker site.
Souleman is usually one of them.
Umm, thanks. Sometimes I like to have a little fun though. I highly doubt selena is planning on comming back though, because he/she asked to be emailed the information. If it was someone that was truly interested in the security side, they would stay at the boards and read the responses.
Yeah, maybe some people do need to calm down a bit, but I just thought my one response was really funny
