I'm in computer class and it is boring me to death. Nobody except for myself seems to know the difference between low and high level languages, how to compile programs, what source code is etc.

I remember my first computer class back in the day. First class was "what is an OS," and the class named the OS's...(winblows, DOS, mac) and the look on the prof's face when we (2 of us actually have seen computers before...the rest of the class thought AOL was an OS, so it shows how smart they were)...oh yeah, forgot where I was for a second. Boy, the look on her face when we yelled out solaris...I thought she was going to kill us right there because she had to explain that to the rest of the class...hehehe...
God I miss the old days.

To some people in my class, Windows is the only OS they know of. If I mention Linux or Unix, no one has a clue what I'm talking about!

The last time I was in class the instructor described some really complex security problem with Win 2K, and asked what the solution was....I suggested using Linux. He was not amused.

Guy beside me: How do I get to fdisk?
Me: Shut up I’m not getting kicked out of college because you can't find fdisk.
Guy beside me: Just tell me and I’ll shut up.
Me: Make a start up disk, reboot and type fdisk in the dos prompt.
Dumbass beside me: How do I use dos?
Me: [small laugh followed by awkward silence]
debwalin instructors don't like it when you insult there favorite OS, It hurts there ego and they get all defensive.
Its not software piracy. I’m just making multiple off site backups.
