Good topic Owen.
I am pretty clueless on these things but if the slack space worries you, I would think that using PGP to wipe the free space would reduce your problem. If my memory serves me right, It wipes the slack space too. Actually, it overwrites with a number of passes and doesn't actually wipe the space, but the effect is the same.

Really? I heard PGP only encrypts the files and not the slackspace.

Thanks for the reply Owen76,
I am not a PGP Guru, but when I run PGP and do a freespace wipe, the first thing that happens is that it comes up with "wiping slack space".
Any other observaions on wiping slack space would be welcome.
