    Quick!! Everybody duck!!

    It seems M$ is releasing Windows XP service pack 1 sometime soon. And I quote "an upcoming major Windows XP upgrade..". quote from http://www.iwon.com/home/technology/...euters,00.html

    So how many of you XP users will be running right out and slurping this one down from M$?

    Not sure my Solaris box would like SP1 - though Sun releases a new patch cluster every couple weeks for it.

    I didn't go XP either... didn't want to. I wasn't happy with the interface, and the only thing that is actually going for it is the fact that it sits on the NT Kernel.

    That would be why they have to upgrade it. It's time release code....

    Dos6 on an old p1, W95 on a 486DX4-100, W98 on daily workstations. W2000Pro on a test bed P3 making sure i understand it before i load up on the workstations. W2000Pro will be my last OS 'cause i don't want to have to check in with brother bill's crew up in washington whenever i have to reload my 'puter... like on an average of twice a year or so...
