That's pretty brave of you to come on here as a new member and accuse someone who chooses not to help you of not knowing '****' as you put it. Let me first say that asking dumbass questions like this will get you absolutely nowhere at AO - further, there are all kinds of members on this board - everyone from older, experienced IT professionals to younger users who are trying to learn everything they can. There are people from other countries, people who work in the IT industry, people who work for the government, and people who read up on computer security as a hobby.

You say you are doing your fair share of reading and such but you don't even know what you could do with root access? Take some time to actually read some manuals and texts, then if you have an intelligent question and your account isn't litered with negative antipoints, come back and discuss topics with everyone here - don't expect anyone to lead you through learning computer security, holding your hand the entire way. That's just not how it works..

*sigh*, Please please get a clue. As stated previously, this is a security site. This site is also monitored very heavily by various government agencies. Well, now they have all your info and you have been redflagged on a computer database in the NSA. So, now that you have this new found fame, what are you going to do with it? I would suggest crawling into a small cardboard box too live out the rest of your days.

If you really want to learn anything, you have to read all you can about computers. And the whole if you don't help me I assume you don't know anything? Well, I guess I have no clue what a mouse is, don't they live in little holes in the walls?

well i hope you will reconsider your questions in the future. Perhaps you will get a little furthur in your conquests. But probably not.

Ya think? Dude, all you've got to consider (before posting!), is if what your saying:

What to do when you have root access?

1. Boil it in water and make some tea with it
2. Stick it in a girl and make her as well as you happy
3. If you put it in soil and water and take care grow a tree with it

Anything concerning "/root" directories and shiat like that I recommend that you read up more about where you found out about root from, that is right you are doing your fair share to read about what you need to...and still don't know you maybe this website will fit your needs.

If you don't know what can be done as root please tell me what u have been reading? You said you have been reading all you can..... What exactly have you been reading, steal this book & steal this book II..... lol
