i can't think of very many afflictions worse than your muscle cells slowly turning to jelly. one of our neighbors was afflicted with MD and it made us extremely sad to see her condition slowly deteriorate. Even so she showed a bright attitude and tried to keep spirits up. She probably knew we were sorry for her, frustrated that nobody could do anything.... all the above...
JP's in the MD slammer on the 5th of June, if you donate by check make it arrive by then, if you keep him in a bit of suspense, keep your credit card or paypal handy and hit him as hard as you can on the 5th.

Why don't you just ask JP to use his influence for world peace, food for everyone, a healthy environment, a cure for all diseases, the answer to all scientific problems, and a face-lift for everyone? Oh, and while you're at it, make sure to ask him to use his influence to develop a tool that translates my cat's miaaw's in English (although Dutch would be already enough).
Thx in advance.
BTW: I ain't no doctor, but afaik MD is one of the symptons of AIDS.
And I'm pretty sure JP has his personal reasons why exactly he choose MD, and not AIDS for his good cause.

I've visited the MDA site and I strongly agree with what they want help for, but how do you pay if you live outside the US, e.g. in the UK? Are cheques from UK banks accepted, or does the organisation have a branch in the UK that I can help out instead?

Greetings All:
" hit him as hard as you can on the 5th"
This is a bad idea. Heh. I have things to write up and fill out for each donation that I collect, so if you donate too late, it probably won't be counted in time for our final tally. I'm hoping everyone gives what they can afford, as soon as they can afford it.
Here's our chance to show the world what a big heart our community has for a very good cause, so lay off the freakin cash already!!!!!
Pwaring, if you live outside the US, you can always send us a foreign check, or even better, just use Paypal! Paypal lets you fill your account either via a wire transfer (ie, you give them your bank account numbers, and tell them how much you want to fill your account with, and they do), or via credit card.

Today i joined the "Bone Marrow Donor Register".
Donated blood at the same time...I feel good about myself for today.
Take the time to get out of your rooms and get to a hospital and donate..
Donating to Research is COOL too.
