i can't think of very many afflictions worse than your muscle cells slowly turning to jelly. one of our neighbors was afflicted with MD and it made us extremely sad to see her condition slowly deteriorate. Even so she showed a bright attitude and tried to keep spirits up. She probably knew we were sorry for her, frustrated that nobody could do anything.... all the above...

Why don't you just ask JP to use his influence for world peace, food for everyone, a healthy environment, a cure for all diseases, the answer to all scientific problems, and a face-lift for everyone? BTW: I ain't no doctor, but afaik MD is one of the symptons of AIDS.

And I'm pretty sure JP has his personal reasons why exactly he choose MD, and not AIDS for his good cause.

I've visited the MDA site and I strongly agree with what they want help for, but how do you pay if you live outside the US, e.g. in the UK? Are cheques from UK banks accepted, or does the organisation have a branch in the UK that I can help out instead?
