IP location *newbie question*
Whats the most accurate way to locate the location of an IP adress. *please don't flame me at least i'm not asking where i can find sub7 =)*

I guess people missed the last tread JP put up about new features, here on AO..
Go to tools/toys and use the IP Locator!

i used that i livei n oakland California but when i used that IP locator i ended up in Virginia

The reason for that is that your last found router/switching station is located in Virginia...
I live in Sudbury (Ontario - Canada) but my IP is located at Ottawa (ON - CA)
Your IP Provider is also getting IP provided to them from another location....
