umm shadowx. A password of c#3x7g@P that you remember is better then a 200 char. password carried on a disk as far a security purposes are concerned.....

    The man speaks the truth.

The password is saved to your local drive anyway(encrypted), whether you 'remember' the password or put it on a floppy

Yeh i supose, but i always carry it around with me in my pocket so there is no breach of security.

    To each their own.

Just don't want to see you coming back here in a week because you accidentally put your clothes in the wash(disk still inside) and ask how you can crack your own pass.

And believe me it can happen. I was stupid enough to wash my glasses, totally destroyed them.

Yo Tachyon, me and you posted a reply at the sametime lol.Anyway its easier for me to remember on a floppy because its a breach of security for you to have the same password for everything so i write my passwords on notes or carry them around on floppy with me but not letting them out of my pocket.

what do you have that ins really THAT important?? I mean i run a server and my root password isnt even NEARLY that long, but it has both numbers letters and special chars lowercase and uppercase so its just as hard to crack as it is your long password.....

But still i think some people take security of their personal stuff WAY too far, then again thats just my opinion.

Sh4ad0wX - do you also carry around some pr0n files with you??? lol

lol... I knew this guy who's password was his phone number, pager number, and then Social security number.... I noticed he typed in a long all number password (never took his hand away from the number pad) and it only took three guesses.... so I paged him his SS#
