Mcse??
Anyone here an MCSE or know anyone who is? I ask because the program director for the masters in MIS program (which I start in the Fall) said that an MCSE can help with job hunting. I am not too fond of M$, but if it will get me more salary, then I'll suffer.

I am also working on my MCSE right now. I would say that most companies look to see that you know how to use windows server/client environments more than unix. I'm not saying that windows is better than unix, just that there are less companies that use unix. If they DO use unix most likely they still use windows on the client end anyway. Getting your mcse would definetly get you noticed by alot of companies and I would suggest going for it. I mean to get a better salary IS a major point in life, right? (well for most people at least)

The one problem with MCSE is that you constantly have to update your knowlage and prove it via retaking the test over and over again.

They say you won't have to take XP exams if you have your 2000 MCSE. They SAY it will be current. Now whether or not that holds up...

Paper is always good like a degree, look at that paper as a starting point, question to ask is what value is that paper if you do not understand the business or purpose of whom you work for. Have lots of fancy papers in frames on the wall at home and work. I smile at them all cause I officaly earned the right to learn from the powers that be......not my rules...just sort of how it is..so is life I learned enogh to approach the teacher got papers to prove it.. Xp I give the crosss the fingers sign in a cross NEVER! Now I gotta offer the alt I'm up to it
