there are some programs which will make your computer think it has more RAM, therefor making it run slightly faster........however, one of my friends burned out 512 MB of SDRAM using one of those proggys. Also what's real helpful: just constantly update drivers. I have a driver update day (the 25th of every month) when I surf the net for new drivers to all my hardware for about 2 hours. It helps.

    Overclocking, Programs..?

nothing, none of them work. Its been proovin you overclock your computer and you mess it up, cause it will become way to hot and die. Programs, are just full of useless ads. The only way i have found was to buy a new computer.. OR! keep your computer, processor, memory AS COOL AS POSSIBLE! I mean, really cold. that seemed to work for me for about a year, with about 5 fans.. i had. I went to some computer store, and bought real old computer.. took the fans outa the power supplies than, rigged em up so they would all be on at one time, and then finally i turned them on insidemy computer.. and it kept it pretty damn cool in there, about 10 degrees cooler than my room. My computer's powersupply didn't power these fans, i used a new powersupply (250watts) all by its self, to power all five fans. It worked. =)

How much faster was it? I have heard of that, but I didn't think it was worth the effot. But how much faster was it? Was the difference noticeable?

    Overclocking Does work

As long as you can keep your PC from overheating....I suggest liquid cooling...I have successfully overclocked all of my computers, graphics boards, memory, etc. You must realize that overclocking will cost quite a lot...a few hundred $ to several thousand. You may want to try overclocking w/ multiple fans (the most common approach)...to experiment with overclocking programs.
