that's really funny!!!!

and not to get off topic...but this reminds me of the routine scavengering we'd perform on silent audits for isps.

kids, don't try this at home:

we'd call them up and ask about pricing (and other more pertanant things) and would always throw in a "can't you just put the internet on disk for me?" it's histerical listening to the frustrations of a tech-support or sales rep actually having to explain why the internet won't fit on a floppy. then about the time that the rep thinks we're gaining ground on the topic of distributed networks and the storage involved to "download the Internet", we'd hit em with a "well, can i just use your disk, instead?" they'd about lose it, and from that point on forward us to the least experienced tech; which was really our goal to begin with.

i know social engineering isn't endorsed, and i'm really not attempting to provide a means to do so, but it fit the topic and from a security-oriented standpoint, should really be considered and even taught by anyone who might be in a position to allow/deny such manipulation.
