if you figure out where the attacks are coming from you could filter out those IP addresses...

Okay well, maybe your dealing with lamers or s'kiddies that dunno what they are doing. So http://www.blackcode.com has some stuff that can prevent sub7 and all sorts of attacks. Get a free trial trojan scanner at http://www.moosoft.com and maybe they are hackers that only know how to use NetBIOS or trojans, so turn off file and print sharing, and don't accept and files from any of them or files your not sure of, and DO NOT tell ANYONE your password. Don't piss them off, maybe they were joking to get you to be quiet because you annoyed them or something. Also, go apologiza to them! Because I don't think many people here are going to want to watch over your system or hack them for you to stop their attack. Hope I could help.
Thanks for your time~

All you have to do if you have LAN/DSL is call your IP and they will give you a ne IP addy after telling them why you need it. It takes about 5 mins. But if you keep pissing on people and keep trying to get a new Ip addy they will drop your butt.

i pissed a bunch of ppl off (about 50) with insults and stuff and now they have my IP adres. i downloaded zonealarm pro, but what else can i do to stop them? how can they hack me? plz im a newby and need some advice on what to do
All I have to say is LOL! Dude why in the world would you even talk §|-|1± to people you don't know espically on the internet? What you did was practice "security by obscurity",you assumed that users are stupid but in reality those users were smarter than your assumptions.
If I was one of those dudes and you pissed me off and insulted me I would secretly install a FTP server on your system tell all my friends about it and you would have a lot of people in your system and you would not even know about it. As far as zonealarm is your firewall hahaha all A hacker/cracker has to do is install the FTP server HTTP server etc.. in the windows start up folder and it will boot up the server every time you start windows. Maybe you will learn your lesson!

If you are using a DSL(Broadband) connection then your IP would be a static one... but if you are using Dial-Up then I don't see any reason why you should worry!!

I had that problem before and all I could say is that, learn as much as you can about what you have on your system so you can protect it. Run an anti-trojan (i.e. tauscan or the cleaner), an anti-virus like norton, configure what firewall you have to the maximum settings for sec. while still being ble to use the internet fully, look for any spyware or adware lurking - it can make a hole in your firewall, get something to clean your traces like evidence eliminator and most of all, I'm sure you know what your supposed to do after that.
Learn what is safe or not and there are more people who are script kiddies especially on IRC. I'd suggest reading on security in chat rooms if I were you. Good Luck

Isellcrack4FBI -- How would one install an FTP or HTTP server on a system protected with ZoneAlarm? The cracker would need to have some kind of remote-admin tool already installed to do something like that, or physical access to the box. Perhaps a trojan? I've never heard of a Trojan FTP/HTTP server, but that would be pretty cool.
