Well I am on AOHell right now with ZA and everything works fine. Im getting a network with dsl tomorrow so im happy. But try to loosen up the security at first and put it on medium when yu first connect. Then when your all connected put it on high. If your not connecting, check your logs and see if you can do anything in the options to change the configuration so that you can use your browser from A O Hell. If that doesn't work then you can PM for help since I've had this problem twice already.

Who says you have to use one DNS server? Or even better, get the latest version of BIND and run named.

zone alarm does have its flaws. but it does have some use. to your info 2 your ?
have you chek'd your security settings. local should be med-/ internet should be set high. if u have your local set high then you can't access the webpage. aswell as in the internet setting. somthinh like that................................well most likely u have done this. jusssst thought I would zay zomthing in zone alarms favor.

I don't personally like ZoneAlarm because it stays in Windows memory even when it is uninstalled (still protecting ports). For some people this is a good thing, but for others (like me) it is a bad thing because me internet connection didn't interact with ZoneAlarm so I uninstalled it. I couldn't figure out why my internet wouldn't connect even with it uninstalled until I called my ISP.
Don't understand your problem. I switched from ZA to Sygate (both personal editions), as I have found Sygate a lot more flexible. After uninstalling ZA and cleaning its registry entries, there was no trace of it left when I re-booted.

Zone alarm was once considered Malware (viruses, worms trojans etc) for win2k systems, as it crashed so damn much.
Damn dark i had that too, and i only ever got it back when i re-installed it, or done a system restore, is that encouragin users to stick with ZA or what,
"we`ll protect, your computer in a half assed way, and make it cease to exist if u uninstall us"
Hows that for an advertising feature?

Take everyone's suggestions (check your Internet settings, and ensure that you have allowed access to the necessary programs. If you don't know whether you accidentally blocked something you shouldn't have, you can always remove all of the programs in the list and require them to reask whether to be allowed or not). Also, are you using ZoneAlarm Pro 3.0 or the free version? If you have the Pro version, ensure that the ad-blocking isn't enabled (or at least not set to high) and that the cookie blocking isn't enabled, for these two will keep ZoneAlarm from allowing AOL to work. Just a suggestion. I don't have AOL, but I have friends and clients who do (Why, you ask? I have no f***ing idea!) and a few had ZA Pro 3 and I found this to fix the same type of problem.
