I think alot of rock and roll bands got their enfluences from early soul and blues artist(and they got their from church) who were never (still not) represented fairly in the recording industry people like the beatles who amitted they copied the styles of motown musians and repackaged it and sold it back to american culture...

I saw tool a bunch of times and they were absolutely amazing live. I still talk about that show last year. Maynards pretty wierd but hes all about his music.

Got to weigh in with Queen. Some of the best stuff came from that group, and you can't forget the Late Great Freddie Mercury.

Tool is also one of the greatest bands but I think they wrote 2 of the best songs ever also
