    Yanksfan... should only be a few dollars for a pretty good wrist strap. Pretty much any computer store will have them... even Home Depot sells them (at least here)

    just msg me when this is out, i guess i need a 200gig/hd, but on a 2nd thought how many MB will be needed for that? probably it gonna be xxxMB.

    Buddy, this thing only spins as fast as a 120gig hard drive, and has less buffer space, I'll msg you when the 200gig hard drive turns into a 10k rpm hard drive, or SCSI, or the buffer space increases. Don't buy a product that costs so much, and may end up making you unhappy because of the wait you may have to endure.

    Since I think I got static on one of my ram cards, is there any way to get it back, or is that thing garbage now?

    Only two good ways to find out if you zapped it:
    1. A buddy with a RAM tester. (Yeah, right)
    2. Plug it in, and see if you let all the smoke out already. I have found from personal experience that electronic devices don't work after the smoke escapes out of them!

    I have to go with the dual 100/120 drive faction. Plus, somehow, ya gotta back this stuff up, right?

    yah backup 200gigs of data... You'll need an Ultrium Drive carousle costing 15K...

    The drive is out on the internet. Check out www.mwave.com under the hard drive - ide section.

    Price: $310

    It's not the 200GB, but it's the same technology/family. Dont give me that BS that it's to large and no one could fill it. Try doing some video editing. You will wish you had more.
    This drive is also good for NAS's.

    For backing up 200GB's- You dont need ultrium tape drive. DDS4 will do. Will run about $2800.

    That is an even worse idea. If you are editing, then you are using lots of space, and if you are, these hard drives will be slower and have a harder time keeping up. Get a few 120's.

    a 200gig HDD is very usefull for people doing video-editing..... since video-editing needs extremly much GB...

    200 gig?
    At that size I would use a Mylex Raid Card with 64 megs of ram and stuck in the 64 bit pci slot. RAID 5 would probably be faster than this thing. 5 50 gig drives are going to give you what you want.
