Packet-Sniffing Cabe TV
I read in 2600 that someone wanted to try and packet-sniff a cable-tv wire. Is it possible to intercept the wire? If so, then can I save those packets then re-build them and send them to a tv? I'm just wondering because it would be pretty cool to "tape" your favourite shows using this method. And you could just carry the show on a CD and take it almost anywhere...

Isn’t cable TV analog and not packet based?
Its not software piracy. I’m just making multiple off site backups.

I think so but the digital signals that you receive from the Rogers' Cable box can be sniffed I think.
