Who in here wasn't a newbie at some point anyhow, everyone starts as a newb. I will admit i am a newb and my questions are just so i can learn and maybe help another....i do agree with flaming those who want to destroy things though.

If it's a stupid question then why did you ask it?..

Of course everyone's a newb at some point,
that's kind of an obligation to become something higher ranked than a newb..

And its the thread that never ends......
Yes it goes and on and on my friends....
Some people starting posting it not caring what it was.....
And they'll continue neggin me forever just because...
Its the thread that never ends....

    I am not-anti newbie
I do not want to "DELETE OR BLOCK" anything
Just presenting an idea to limit ppl posing as hackers, which are LOWER than newbs
Lets just end the post here ----
It\'s 106 miles to Chicago, we\'ve got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it\'s dark and we\'re wearing sunglasses.

    1) To refine his posts

    3) And to respect others (I gather he learned this by not only being reminded that he dissed the newbs, but by getting dissed by everyone else too.)
Some of you peeps really laid down the insults, I think he took it quite well...

    ok here it comes

And to Mephisto, you remind me of the little concience dudes that sit on your shoulder razzin you all the time with little one liners...LOL you funny

In conclusion; I will add that a lot of these posts, IMHO, could have been nicer or not said at all. I suppose I will never quite understand why a person will read a post they dislike the topic of, then follow the thread for hours, hopping in and out of it every once in a while to see what the next person, who he probably won't like either, has posted. Only to ultimately post non-educational, non-supportive, rhetoric in this thread he has already dubbed nonsensical!

aeallison , I agree that show obviously learned a thing or two

I would rather not count the number of times I've read a post where a newb got "flamed" and DIDN'T flame back or just say to everyone " Ok, well F*** everyone here... you just don't want to teach me because you think you're better than me" or some crap like that. At least show read the posts, accepted the criticism, learned from it, and moved on. As I stated earlier... he IS entitled to his own opinion, just like everyone else here is, and I will defend his right to HAVE that opinion just like I would anyone else here.

Sure, a lot of these posts COULD have been a lot nicer or more constructive rather than criticising... but the point is, Show learned and accepted what was given him without getting a "skript kiddie" attitude. Personally, I think that shows more maturity on his part than on the part of some who responded to his original post.

I'm a newbie here (2nd post) and I have to admit I was angered at first when I read the first post by Showtime, but after looking at all the posts to it I realized a couple of things...

    1. He was trying to make a point about newbs coming in and asking questions that answers can readily be found in tuts and questions regarding blatant misuse and hacking

    2. We all had to start somewhere, I learned a long time ago you have to crawl before you can walk

One thing I learned very quickly here is that there are a lot of well educated and intelligent people here that we can all learn from (even newbs). I've only been here for about an hour or so and have looked through a lot of the threads to see what info is available and am overwhelmed with the intelligence represented by all of you. I am a newbie and have a hunger for knowledge.

I agree with you Showtime in regards to people wanting things handed to them on a silver platter without doing any reasearch or trying to learn on their own.

    Happy to be here,
    The Grim Reaper
