help with IP tracing
Recently while viewing my firewall log file and surfing online. I been getting a alert from it notifying me of a port scan attack. so I did a whois lookup on the ip and it belongs to the Internet Assigned Number Authority. Like today while here it happen again scanning ports 24515-65456. Who could this be coming from should or is it them running tests for IPV6. I know that range is for special use but why would they be scanning my sys. Can ya'll give me some advice and could this be a attacker. thanxs

I would use the search on the front page, I mean there is a wealth of information archived on this site. To be honest, I found the answer to half of your questions already answered in the archive. That is where I found the offline being caused by your profile being set to invisable solution.
