i think that congress needs to distinguish the difference between hacker and terrorist.right now in this countries state of alert we are paranoid and innocent white hackers can go to jail for a long time.even law abidding sites like this one can be subject to harassment.we should come up with a clear formula to catch the real bad guys and not the ones trying to learn or insure network security.i will ony say that i dont consider myself a hacker but i am technically qurious,but my hands a tied in what i will do to learn.example :i am even scared to try attacks on my own system in fear that the government is watching and i falsly get charged with something ,i have no criminal record and wish it to stay that way.i hope the atmosphere changes soon ,so it can be like the old days
