    does google have a rival or someone who can even TRY and compete? looks like they are the best in the searching biz, why is that?

    okay, i think this is why :

    Because of quick relevant hits. It uses a network of PC networked with a software program that ranks web pages based on two factors – the pages value, and links to the page, especially by high-quality sites. It uses number of hits and links on each web page to gauge its usability. Google examines all aspects of a page’s content and the content of the pages linking to it. Also, no one can buy a higher ranking with their software, which makes it an easy way to find high-quality sites, that's what i think.

    The real power is really in is interface IMHO. It's clean, it's simple, and it's powerful. It's exactly what every search engine should have been.

    You have forgotten what is for me the best Google aspect after its searching abilities: Google news.

    google is good and www.google.com/options has a wide range of services that google offer, i could spend all my time at google... and AO =P

    ahh sorry bout dat.... try "http://www.google.com/options/" i know it works i loaded the page this time and did a "Ctrl + C" so there'd be no more stuff ups ... dam http!
