theres no such icon in windows!
if you want to make a programm having the internet explorer icon:
Right Click on the file you want to have the IE icon > Change Icon > Click on Search in the box that appears, and search for the Internet Explorer (eg if you have a shortcut to IE on your desktop, just Search for it in the Desktop, click it, select the IE that is on that box that appeared, then ok, then Aplly and voilla! (i hope you got it)
if you cant find the IE icon (ie.exe) on your desktop or you dont have a shortcut there, try to search for it in your winnt file

FYI, many icons are embedded in DLL and EXE files.
This is why you can't find the ICO of the one you are looking
for.
There is software to extract them though, I believe.

you are making a CD that autoruns Window Explorer? You do realize that both Windows Explorer, and the icon associated with it are copywrite by Microsoft, right? Just making sure.
Yes, autorun.inf will automatically run when you insert the CD if you have autorun turned on for that CD player.
And, as was stated, not all programs have their own .ico file. Many are embeded in other files, and the extration utility that was mentioned is used to take the icon out of the file.
