reinstalling win xp in dual system box

hi all.
i want to reinstall my xp cause it running toooo slow on my p4 128ram
i have linux running on this box as well.
after reinstalling my win xp the mbr will be overriden by the win deleting
my lilio.
what can i do to recover the lilo after?
does reinstalling the linux in upgrade mode will solve the problem?
does bootdisk can help me here?

You can use a bootdisk (make sure it works, it is a problem sometimes) and then after you have reinstalled XP boot into linux using the bootdisk and reconfigure lilo.

You may well experience performance issues running Xp on 128MB, so i dont know if reinstalling will help at all.
Try sticking another 128MB in which should do wonders!!!

An extra 128mb shouldn't be to much if you wanted to get more performance, if your system ram is just standard SDram then you can pick up an extra 128 for about £12($17) This would make Xp run a lot better, because XP hogs ram
With reguards to your linux problem make a bootdisk like N00dle said and then restore lilo that way. I think making a bootdisk varys from distro to distro, so have a look on the net for help on that

XP eats a lot of ram. I had been able previously to make it working well with only 128 Mb of ram disabling the huge majority of pointless graphical options. Go on configuration panel> system> advanced (or a name like this one)> performances, and disable 90% of those silly options.
It would work better after.
