Just a quick note. After reading some of the responses I would apologize if I was too stodgy or harsh in my earlier reply. I stand by what I said but I do want to be clear that I was not offended by the statements I just felt that religion is so often the target of derision as opposed to humor. I love religious humor and have a number of joke books filled specifically with it. I felt that one of the posts was derisive and not even attempting humor.
As for the Cooome out demons there is a series of Dilbert cartoons from years ago that covered this very well and a Far Side where the repair instructions were to slaughter a goat and drape its entrails on the keyboard by the light of a full moon. So please understand it is not humor I have a problem with. I hope this clarifies my position.
BTW I believe that St. Patrick would be a good choice for the following reasons. He chased all of the snakes out of Ireland, maybe he can chase the bugs out of M$ code. He is already the patron saint of engineers so we won't be confused as who to pray to, and it would give all of us non-Irish computer geeks a legitimate reason to get totally pissed on St. Pats day.
One last clarification, I did not neg the person whose post I found derisive because it wasn't a neg worthy offense, just one I felt the need to respond to, nor has anyone negged me (which actually was a pleasant surprise).
