Banned
i've recieved many -ve AO points because people want me to get upset or want to "start a war" with me or because they want to insult me. about 1 of the 5 -ve AO points were in my opinion within reason. i think we should be able to report bad -ve AO points.

drew I agree, sad to say but there are a lot of people who think this website is like being at high school. Like that one guy who was going after JP trying to get him banned, or other people just trying to get accounts from people who have a high status here. This behavior is childish, and the system does need to be modified.
If someone copies word for word a post, or website, and pretends it's their own... then yes they need to get some negative AP's to warn this person not to do that again. But then I've seen the person who was negged turn around and neg the other person for pointing out the fact that it was copied information. This is the stuff that should be able to be reversed! There shuold not be allowed to use the points to start a war!

Like what antihaxor said: You cant totally blame the newbies that they think this is a hacking site. Check out the meta tags...
"META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="Computer Security,Hacking,Hacker,Crackers,Virus,Virii ,Webpages,DOS,Denial of Service ,files,links,encryption,spoofing,news,texts,password,port monitors ,key logger ,phreaking,boxes,wardialers ,patches,exploits ,fixes,hot fixes,antionline,bugs,technology,"
With those kinds of keywords in search engines, no wonder people think this is a hacking site.

Yes but once you goto the website, I mean look at the very top of every page:
hackers know the weaknesses in your system. shouldn't you?
-----------
That to me the first time I saw this said it was a security site, not a hacking site. Plus it's beside the fact, if they were here to learn to be hackers they wouldn't be posting questions on how to hack? That would only lead us all to think they are hackers and ban them. I donno, I think some people just don't use simple logic at times!

Another thing we can do is just ignore the "How do I do a DoS attack?" questions. Don't tell them that their question is unwelcome, don't even give them the time of day. They'll go away before to long.
If you Neg someone that is that childish, it'll end up starting a flame/neg war.

Yes that's true. But isn't that the whole point of the AP system? To neg people who are posting questions about "how to hack" types of things? I mean if we don't neg them, then all we are doing is letting that information stay up with a status that shows we don't care if they are here or not. And if that's true, then the more "hackers" that come here, they will start doing their own posting. Then what, then there will be our posts of how to stop hackers, and the posts of hackers trying to find ways around whatever. No, I think that they should be negged, and their accounts should be deleted!

Being fair though...
Please don't get me wrong! I was fearful that I would be negged for my first few posts, especially my very first thread I started (which I must say, I'm glad I did... thanks techtech!). Though I have gotten many positive reviews, and no neggs yet. As I know I probably will because I'm not the smartest person, and sometimes love to debate, it's part of the game I know. And I don't go around just negging anyone who I think is putting up just a random post, I hope that I am fair with when I give out points!
[gloworange](This is a good time to thank everyone who has given me positive feedback!)[/gloworange]
As I think stated before in other threads though, there are people who use the AP system just to play little high school games. People are trying to give contructive feedback to a new user (or even someone who's been here awhile), but that person does not like the feed back so they go and neg people. I do think the system does need work, but I think the general idea of the system is good and needed.
I hope that clears things up. I kind of have been reading what I've replyed and from another angel I feel I might be giving off the wrong impression of what I'm trying to say.
