Hey Ammo, I agree, I'm ashamed of the network security @ my school, unfortunetly, I have higher ups who don't want me locking down the network like that. . everything should be easy for the teachers, and if that causes me more work to fix problems. . then oh well. (exact quote) I just figure, it's their network, who am I to say anything.
Maybe you can email them and tell them how a network is supposed to be secure, I'm blue in the face!
Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, "She doesn't have what it takes"; They will say, "Women don't have what it takes".

Well my kid is 11 and he knows where babies come from... Healso knows what is right and what is wrong.
Recently he was almost talked into copying a paper off the internet for a speech by his study partner, I wasn't amused and he quickly changed his friend's mind.
However, I believe expulsion would do the trick for this kid, since there was no criminal intent. It just goes to show you what this country is coming to. Zero tolerance for ANY misbehavior is insane.
Every case deserves individual consequences. To subscribe to this type of punishment is ludicrous.
I hope the judge overseeing this case understands that.
I'm sickened at what my grandchildren might have to grow up with. Absolutely sickened.
Mankind have a great aversion to intellectual labor; but even supposing knowledge to be easily attainable, more people would be content to be ignorant than would take even a little trouble to acquire it.

Haven't kids always done this? When I was growing up (last week) there was a thriving black market of forged merit certificates for those who got bad reports. I guess kids are just more sophisticated now. Which I suppose means we have to be too.
I disagree with the jailing though, at 11 how could you establish Mens Rea safely????
