Spy Sweeper
Then you had better test it against the Professional (paid) Add-Aware version first !!
or even better let someone else test them
the prog looks good... but just like Add-Aware.. didn't find anything

I am using ad-aware pro version now
Spy Sweeper can only detect 2800+ trojans and spyware and I think ad-aware can detect more. The problem is that some spyware are not detected by Ad-aware but are detected bt Spy Sweeper

Jin_X if you don't let cookies come to your PC and watch out for "****" then the "****" don't even invate your PC and Ad-Aware don't have anything to do. Make a test go to the sites with the most "****" (underground and M$'s site) let the cookies come to your PC then make a scan with Ad-Aware and see the result. I have tested this and the result was 63 ****S.
Ad-Aware 6.0 Pro rulezzzz!!!!.

I ran the Spy Sweeper and it didn't find anything.
Ad Aware has been working well.
Just glad these programs are available to us.

I prefer to use a combination of
Spybot S & D
Ad-Aware 6
and Spyware Blaster .
It's good enough for me For some reason I dispise trialware, prefer freeware

I prefer freeware too but some projects are too good to be free.

I have used Ad Aware at home for a long time. After reading this post a few days ago I sat and installed Spy Sweeper here at work and it found a lot of "interesting" things. Personally I have always liked Ad Aware, but the Interface with Spy Sweeper is a lot nicer and easier to use. Plus I find that there is more information displayed in the interface with Spy Sweeper than Ad Aware.
