.reg
I have a series of .reg files that i put on my backup disks, they do various things like tweak the recent doc's menu and what not. For some reason i can't execute these any more. Does anyone know what i can do or what application or services i need to start up to execute these files again.

Have you tried opening regedit or regedt32 and importing the registry files... Sure it'll take a few seconds longer but that should work if they no longer execute.....
Also go to Tools --> Folder Options -- File Types and see what your defaults are set at in there... Make sure that REG files are set to open with regedit.... line should be regedit.exe %1

Yeah when i went to the filetypes list it wouldnt let me choose anything, it was all shaded grey. However the import was successful. Actually i never noticed that you could do that. Thnks.
