That's mine with my new attainment: a C64 Emulator
It's a SuSE 8.1 box running KDE 3.1. The wallpaper I photographed myself last summer is the "big pond" at the western coast of France looking towards America.

a programmer's work
hi peeps!
here's my box. i made a custom wallpaper which is a calendar/scheduler/appointment/contact manager all in one. it is made in coldfusion with access database for it's appointments and contacts. you can add/edit/delete/search appointments and contact records in the main desktop. the calendar and school schedule is javascript. i used a fine unobstrusive grid wallpaper background made is photoshop. the 2 icons on the right part of the systray is the monitor for my nokia 9210i connection. the one dot icon on the systray is mirc while the 4 dots is the ftp server. on it's left is the client ftp icon. i dont want my systray to be cluttered, but i dont want the xp "hide inactive icons" feature either. so i hide almost everything that i can hide in the systray. my box is running php+coldfusion+mysql+iis+perl and i dont want any of them to show up on the screen as much as possible. i used samurize for the disk usage, processor usage, upload, download speed graphs on the taskbar.
ciao!

Well, got rid of Mandrake and installed Slackware 8 today. I have to say it was a challenge, but I am very satisfied with the results. Here is a screenie of KDE:
