Use a knoppix cd to boot to, copy your documents and such from the c drive to your d partition. There are known bugs using NERO on W2K. I've had a similar problem before that require a full OS installation. Sorry I can't fix your problem, but using a knoppix boot disk, you can at least save your data. and in the future, you can change the location of your my documents folder, so that it's in your data directory, so that next time, you have a problem, you can reinstall the OS without worrying about data loss.

For what it's worth, I've also experienced probs running Nero on W2K. Rebooted the system every time I ran it. Even after installing update for Nero, still acts twitchy half the time. I personally like B's Recorder Gold. Never had any trouble with it, and easier for inexperienced users to figure out.
