I agree that AOL has some MAJOR problems. But, if you look at the big picture then you will that AOL has done a great service to this nation and world by widening the door to the internet portal so that evryday people can have access to the web. That being said, I think that those STUPID "free" CD's go to far at times. They are everywhere. The EPA should do a study to determine the environmental damage they are doing in our landfills. And also if you empty out the CD stands this only causes AOL to create more of them. So if you really want to get AOL's attention then maybe the unused CD's should be returned to them in boxes. Just my two cents worth.

I agree with x acidreign x, I don't like AOL but on the other hand I don't mind taking advantage of their 2 months free either!
Oh and heres an idea, me and my buddies used to grab a bunch of AOL cd's and throw them against the outer walls of the WALL*MART that we got them from, we saw it as a punishment for providing the inocent public with the bain of the universe AOL!
Did I mention that every man, woman, and child (also their pet dog scruffy) in America has had one of those stupid cd's sent to them?
But something funny happened to me the other day, I found that I needed an AOL cd and didn't have 1(because I threw away all the 1's they sent me) ya know why I needed it so I could install Juno! Thats the only thing AOL is good for, and 8.0 wouldn't even work 1/2 the time on XP.

true. "stealing" aol cds is like "stealing" junk mail. of course, aol invested in those cds in order to market their product. so in that regard, you are depriving aol of a product they purchased, ie, a portion of their marketing campaign.
they do suck, i do hate them, & right or wrong, i love what you did :-)

Currently AOL is lossing the reace against all the other competetors for broadband ISP's here in the UK. They came out to late with the broadband technology and the are lossing money when it comes to selling online products to their users. Well no wonder that they are lossing millions of dollars (or pounds or euros or whatever) when they are spending so much money on annoying people with free CD's.
AOL can go bankrupt for all I care.
